| 1) Installing the Connection Software | |

1. Insert the Odynet CD-ROM. After a few seconds, a menu should appear. If a menu does not appear,
open 'My Computer', and double click on the icon named 'Ody45'. 2. From the second pull-down menu, select "Install Enternet 300", and click 'Go!'. 3. On the next screen, choose the 'Quick Install' option, and click 'Next'. 4. In some cases, you may be required to insert your Windows CD at this point. Do so, and click 'Ok'. 5. On the last screen, choose 'reboot your computer now', and click 'Ok'. Wait for Windows to reload. | |
| 2) Creating a new profile | |

6. On your desktop, you should see an Enternet 300 icon. Double click it. 7. Double click on 'Create New Profile'. 8. Type 'OdyNet' in the space provided, and click 'Next'. 9. Enter your username in the space provided. Remember to put @ody.ca after the username. For example, if your username is jsmith, you would enter jsmith@ody.ca. Enter your password in the both spaces at the bottom. Click 'Next'. 10. Enternet will now attempt to connect to the internet. Click 'Next' to proceed. 11. Enternet should report that it has successfully located a server. Click 'Next'. If Enternet fails to locate a server, please contact OdyNet for assistance. 12. Click 'Finish'. You should now see an OdyNet icon. This is what you double-click on to connect to the internet. 13. You can create a shortcut to the Odynet connection icon on your desktop. Left click on the icon, and hold the mouse button down, and drag it your desktop. You should an OdyNet icon on the desktop. Close the Profiles window. 14. Connect to the internet by clicking on the OdyNet icon, and then clicking on the connect button. After a few seconds, the box should disappear. 15. You should now be able to browse the web, use email, etc. | |
