Posting a Personal Web Site @ Odynet

Odynet provides space for our customers to post a personal web page. Once you have created your page(s) you will need to use a ftp program to transfer your files to one of our web servers. One of the oldest and simplest programs available is called WS-FTP (available on the Odynet ftp site) Once you have this program (or any other ftp program) installed, Use the following settings to ftp your files to our server. Hostname: www.ody.ca Username: (your Odynet Username) Password: (your Odynet Password) Once connected you will need to create a directory called public_html And finally place your web files in the public_html directory. Your opening, or first page, should be called index.htm Finally you can view your web site by surfing to: http://www.ody.ca/~username (and of course use your username)
