WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO

 BE A MEMBER?

SunyJim and Tenfly

SunyJim's Paintball Club does not hold "try-outs", does not practice, and does not demand exclusive loyalty of its members. We are simply a group of paintball players out to have fun with other safe and responsible players. Each member of the club will pay $25.00 a year for club dues. The money is non-refundable and will go to purchase club property, not belonging to any one person. The property will be the possession of the club. Club property will be under the care and control of Colin "SunyJim" Wells, Phil Crivea, or George MacLean.

As always, it is always free to bring your own equipment and play with SunyJim's Paintball Club for the first two weekends at the field we set up. After that you may come out at the invitation of a club member. Membership will give the member a funky laminated membership card, the right to substantial discounts on CO2, tank fills are priced at $2.50, with proceeds going towards club equipment. If it can be arranged a discount on paintballs, and access to all other club equipment and events.

The Purpose of the SunyJim's Paintball Club is to provide an atmosphere where all players, regardless of skill level, can play paintball for the simple enjoyment of the social aspects of the game. The Club plays paintball on the recreational level, where the act of winning is not as important as playing the game itself. The Club is dedicated to advancing the game of paintball and promoting safe and responsible behaviour.

Membership is restricted to those who adhere to the letter and spirit of the Game and Safety Rules established by the SunyJim's Paintball Club. Members who bring guests out to Club events shall assume responsibility for that guest or guests. Membership is not "lifetime", and ALL current members are on permanent probation.

SunyJim's Paintball Club reserves the right to deny any player. Those members who do not strive to abide by the letter and spirit of the Rules will not be considered for future events and play days. The Club will not tolerate any player whose actions in any way adversely affects the safety or good reputation of the Club.

Here's how to become a member of SunyJim's Paintball Club:
First, read, understand and agree with the letter and the spirit of our Charter and Rules of Play. Come out and play with us a few times as our guest then be sponsored by a current member (If your the fun, safe and responsible kind of player it won't be a problem getting sponsored). If you have a sportsmanlike attitude, you will already feel like one of us when you arrive...

SunyJim's Paintball is a private Club, and reserves the right to refuse membership or participation to any persons considered a possible safety risk to themselves or others.

There are Charter and Standard club members.
Charter members are those that joined in the first year of the club. The idea is that the original 1st year members have a say in the direction that the club is going in. A say in what equipment that the club is going to purchase. And they have a stake in the ownership of the club property.  In return they will be asked to take a more active roll in the paintball club. They may be asked to run a game, store equipment at their house, Ref, fill CO2, Clean up the field or miss a game to help renters with they're rental equipment.

Standard members of the club, receive all the club benefits or being a club member: cheap CO2, organized games, and cheap paint. But do not get a say in the day to day financial direction of the club, but in return will not be asked to give back to the club in the same way as charter members. Standard Membership is perfect for the person who doesn't want to run a club... just get together and play a few fun games.

All members regardless of whether they are charter members or Standard members will be asked to RSVP for our special scenario games, and bring their necessary safety equipment for each game. A whistle and a barrel plug, and play in a safe courteous way that will bring a good reputation to the club.
